The Atlantic Magazines Association (AMA), created in April 2006, represents the interests of all those
involved in the magazine publishing industry in Atlantic Canada. Our broad membership encompasses the full spectrum of the Atlantic Canadian magazine trade including editors, designers, account managers, publishers, writers, circulation managers and suppliers.

Through the organization of professional development workshops and training programs, the AMA
enables its members across Atlantic Canada to liaise and network with others in the regional magazine
industry. The work of the AMA extends to sharing news and information about the magazine industry with its members, the general public and other stakeholders as well as to serve as an industry advocate when the need arises.

The Atlantic Magazines Association represents 54 magazine publishers in Atlantic Canada, producing 81 individual magazines. Collectively, we print and distribute nearly 7.5 million magazines per year throughout the world. Our magazines reflect the region’s culture, business, leisure and recreation, news and
information, lifestyle, scholarly works and University environments.
